Hunger is the silent enemy that robs a child of health, joy, and dignity. At Seva Chakkara Children Home, nutritional support is not merely about feeding hungry mouths—it is about restoring life, strength, and hope to children who have known deprivation. Many children who arrive at our home come from backgrounds of extreme poverty, neglect, abandonment, or trauma, often malnourished and physically weak. Our first act of compassion is to ensure that no child ever sleeps hungry again.
Every resident is provided with wholesome, hygienically prepared meals three times a day. Balanced diets are carefully planned to meet the nutritional needs of growing children, ensuring proper physical and mental development. Special attention is given to including proteins, vitamins, minerals, and fresh produce that support immunity and overall well-being. For children who are underweight, ill, or recovering from medical conditions, supplementary nutrition and special diets are provided to help them regain strength and vitality.
Nutrition at Seva Chakkara is also about emotional healing. Sitting together for meals creates a sense of family, belonging, and security—something many children have never experienced before. A warm meal served with love reassures them that they are safe, valued, and cared for. With donor support, we continue to transform hunger into health and despair into smiles, ensuring that every child grows with strength, confidence, and dignity.
