Brahmashri A. Velayudham, M.A., the visionary founder of Seva Chakkara Samajam, was a compassionate humanitarian and social reformer who dedicated his life to the service of the parentless, destitute, and downtrodden. Despite being partially blind and living with an artificial right eye due to an unfortunate accident, he transformed personal adversity into a divine mission of selfless service, guided by honesty, humility, and spiritual conviction. With nearly three and a half decades of service in various government departments, including Medical Services, Railways, Telephones, and the Judiciary, he founded Seva Chakkara Samajam in 1986 to uplift vulnerable sections of society. Beginning with just five parentless children and no resources, the institution has grown into a strong and nurturing home, providing education, shelter, care, and hope to hundreds of children and beneficiaries. In 2021, Brahmashri A. Velayudham attained Jeeva Samadhi. Though no longer physically present, his ideals and spirit continue to guide Seva Chakkara Children’s Home. His life remains a timeless example of selfless service and compassion.
“When you see the parentless, think of Seva Chakkara Children’s Home.”
