🎉 Proud Moment at the Silambam Competition – February 2026 🏆

Our children proudly participated in the Silambam competition held at Montfort School, Guindy, on 08 February 2026. Though they had only a short period to prepare, they approached the event with dedication, enthusiasm, and strong determination. Their participation itself was a moment of pride, as they stepped onto the field with confidence and courage, ready to demonstrate their skills.

Silambam, being a traditional and disciplined martial art, requires focus, agility, balance, and consistent practice. Despite limited training time, our students displayed remarkable control, coordination, and confidence in their performances. Their hard work and commitment were evident in every movement, reflecting the sincerity with which they had prepared for the competition.

Their efforts were rewarded with outstanding achievements. They secured three first prizes in the age categories of 17 years, 13 years, and 12 years. In addition, they earned five second prizes in the under-14 category (two students), under-12 category (two students), and under-11 category (one student). These accomplishments are a clear testament to their perseverance, teamwork, and unwavering spirit.

This commendable success was made possible through the constant encouragement and guidance of our respected Secretary, Mrs. Lakshmi Ravichandran. Her continuous support and belief in the potential of our children have played a crucial role in motivating them to perform their best. She consistently inspires them to aim higher and strive for excellence in every opportunity they receive.

We also express our heartfelt gratitude to our Treasurer, Mrs. Sukanya Ramesh, for her continuous motivation and encouragement. Her support has provided the students with confidence and strength, helping them remain focused and determined throughout their preparation and performance.

The backbone of this achievement is our dedicated Silambam Coach, Mr. Anand. His disciplined training methods, patience, and commitment to nurturing each student have significantly contributed to this success. Through structured practice sessions and constant guidance, he has instilled not only technical skills but also values such as discipline, respect, and perseverance.

This achievement has brought immense pride and joy to our institution. It stands as a shining example of what can be accomplished through teamwork, dedication, and proper guidance. We congratulate our children for their remarkable performance and look forward to many more such accomplishments in the future.
