Date: 19th July 2025 Time: 10:00 AM Event: Meditation Camp Participants: Seva Chakkara Girls As part of the International Yoga Day celebrations, Seva Chakkara Children’s Home organized a special Meditation Camp on 19th July 2025 at 10:00 AM within the home premises. The event was designed to help children understand the importance of maintaining physical and mental balance through yoga and meditation. The session was conducted by Ms. Ranjana Dinesh, a trained meditation and wellness instructor associated with various youth and community wellness programs. She began the session by explaining the concept of yoga and its connection to inner peace, followed by a guided meditation practice. The children were taught basic breathing exercises (Pranayama) and simple meditation techniques to help calm their minds, improve focus, and cultivate emotional stability. Throughout the session, the children actively participated and expressed great enthusiasm. Ms. Ranjana encouraged them to share their feelings and experiences, creating a warm and interactive atmosphere. The children learned how regular meditation can help manage stress, improve concentration in studies, and develop a positive outlook on life. The entire program was supervised by Ms. Jessylara, Program Coordinator of Seva Chakkara Children’s Home, who ensured that the event was well-organized and that every participant benefited from the activity. Her constant support and guidance contributed greatly to the success of the event. The Meditation Camp concluded with a short feedback session where the children expressed happiness and a sense of calm after the meditation. Many shared that it was their first experience of deep relaxation and that they wished to continue practicing meditation daily. Conclusion The International Yoga Day celebration at Seva Chakkara Children’s Home was meaningful and enriching. The Meditation Camp introduced the children to mindfulness and self-discipline and inspired them to adopt meditation as a daily habit for better mental and emotional health. The session highlighted yoga and meditation as powerful tools for building resilience, inner strength, and peace of mind among growing children.
