Date: 27th August 2025 Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Event: Vinayakar Chathurthi Celebration Participants: Seva Chakkara Girls and Boys The festival of Vinayakar Chathurthi was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Seva Chakkara Children’s Home on 27th August 2025. The celebration took place at both the Girls’ Home and Boys’ Home in Choolai, marking the occasion with traditional rituals, prayers, and cultural activities filled with joy and togetherness. The event began with the installation of Lord Ganesha’s idol, beautifully decorated by the children with flowers, turmeric, and colorful garlands. The morning atmosphere was filled with devotion as the children and staff performed Ganapathi Pooja and chanted prayers seeking blessings for good health, happiness, and success. The rituals helped the children understand the spiritual importance of Lord Ganesha — the remover of obstacles and the symbol of wisdom and prosperity. A special highlight of the day was the visit from the Maersk team, led by Ms. Kavitha, who visited both the Boys’ and Girls’ Homes. The Maersk team interacted warmly with the children and staff, sharing festive joy and participating in the celebration. Their presence made the occasion even more special, as they spent time with the children, encouraged them, and appreciated their efforts in organizing the event. After the prayers and interactions, the children presented devotional songs and small cultural performances in honor of Lord Ganesha. Traditional prasadam including modak and sundal prepared by the staff was distributed to all the children, guests, and team members. The children were excited and happy to celebrate the festival together as one big family. Conclusion The Vinayakar Chathurthi Celebration at Seva Chakkara Children’s Home was a beautiful blend of devotion, tradition, and happiness. The active participation of the children and the visit from Ms. Kavitha and the Maersk team made the event memorable.
